They are not common but right now in the wetland Western parts of Victoria they may be seen, also maybe in Eastern state Australian themed zoos. To see Brolgas dancing in the dawn mists is an unforgettable experience.

A beautiful haiku. We have such cranes in Australia, called Brolgas
